What you will gain

+ Who this program is for:

  • 25-50 year olds
  • Working professionals and busy parents
  • Time poor
  • Wanting to get or keep fit but can’t seem to make it to the gym, or don’t like the gym
  • Have old niggling injuries
  • Want to reach a higher level of fitness and capability in their sport, fitness endeavours, and hobbies
  • Suffer aches and pains and Get sore injured following gym
  • Unsure of what to do when training
  • Travelling lots and never have access to standard equipment

+ How will PrimalThenics will help you:

  • Movement based training to engage your brain, body, nervous system and cardio-vascular system
  • Neurological and mobility drills
  • Accessibility of program – no equipment required, minimal space needed, can be done in your living room, outdoors, hotel rooms or gyms and anywhere you can watch your smart screen device
  • Multiple levels of each exercise are prescribed so it can suit any level of strength and fitness. DO WHAT YOU CAN! Work at your level and complete the sessions at your level and when you can
  • Programs can be repeated numerous times, and you have lifetime access to them
  • Mobility specific sessions to tackle your injuries, mobility restrictions, and movement limitations.

+ What equipment do I need?

  • A internet service provider
  • A screen to view the session on
  • A small space, (living room is sufficient)

+ I need to be fit before I start this….!

No, you don’t. That is why I have created this!

It is a system designed to aid you on your fitness journey and wherever you are right now in that journey. This is about helping you train efficiently. If you find it really difficult, just ease up, have more rest, do a bit less, and guess what? Come back to the program after you have completed it and do it again. You have to start somewhere!

I know that feeling of being overwhelmed when thinking about clawing your way back into fitness. Having a system that addresses dysfunctions, limitations, injuries, sore spots, that you can do anywhere, that requires no equipment, that coaches you through the movements and gets you training with people just like you as well as Olympic athletes, current and former NRL players, ex wallabies, bankers, CEOs, mums and dads and weekend warriors, will all help you get the most out of yourself!

+ Are short sessions and bodyweight training enough to get me fit and muscular?

Yes. Progressions can always be made with bodyweight training – angles, levers, reps, speed, velocity, rest periods, volume, organisation of exercises can always be changed to make it a valid system of muscular development. Additionally, I include free weights programs for those that wish to train with weights as well.

I advocate weight based resistance training. However, everyone always jumps straight into weights without first identifying weaknesses, movement restrictions and mobility issues. By incorporating PrimalThenics into your fitness regeime you will quickly address these issues and make yourself a more rounded athlete.

+ I will feel ridiculous if I am to crawl around on the ground at the gym!

Don’t go to gym, train at home, at the park, or anywhere you want. Or if you do go to gym, focus on why you are doing the training; to tackle your weaknesses and injury proof yourself!

+ There are so many other products out there, they look like they have more production value than yours. Why should I buy yours?

You're right, others have dropped way more money on video production services than I. But I make up for it in QUALITY OF TRAINING. I am not looking to flog you, hurt you or make you perform impossible stunts. I want to make you injury proof, and get you back on your fitness journey, or progress you further.

I have guests! Cool ones! Regular people, teachers, nurses, bankers, CEOs, stay at home parents, high school kids, ex wallabies, ex NRL players, current NRL players, current Olympic athletes, former Olympic athletes! You can’t production value that.

I have been coaching for 20 years. I have done more free work than I have done paid work because I wanted to learn the craft of coaching. This is a journey for me too. Every program will be better than the last. I will keep giving and learning and making the experience better for you. Come with me on this journey. No pretension, no excuses, just effort, commitment and passion from me.

#DO WHAT YOU CAN

Mobility vs Hard work

One of the base premises of this program is making it fit into your life. Exercise and training is not about punishment because you are not fit enough, nor is it about burning calories to make up for your diet flaws. Exercise is about reaching new levels of health and fitness.

It is a privilege and joy, where you get to move your body and explore its potential.

It is about accepting where you are on your fitness journey and working with great humility to seek improvement and overcome your limitations.

It is not purely about aesthetics, (although that can be important), but rather the ability to live better, move better and feel better.

Exercise is about reclaiming your health and mobility, and doing what you can within your lifestyle.

PrimalThenics encompasses all these things by making exercise fun again and absent of the restrictions consigned to it. You are your training paradigm.

What you can and cannot do is left to you to explore and grow.

Ideal sessions a week

+ The PrimalThenics sessions

Takes about 45 - 50 minutes.

Over the course of the Foundation or PrimalThenics Stream program there are 12 PrimalThenics sessions per program. Aim to complete these 2 per week. Aim for 1 during the week and 1 on the weekend. Use it to compliment whatever trainig you currently do, or, as your strength and conditioning training for the week.

+ The Mobility sessions

The mobility sessions take up 20 minutes. Level 1 and 2 Cardio sessions require at least a 5-10 minute ‘Prepare’ component, adjusted from one of the mobility or PrimalThenics Sessions to suit your time budget.

The Mobility sessions are very important to the over-arching theme of PrimalThenics to improve your health and fitness and mobility. Aim to complete 1 mobility specific session per week. Re-configure the neurological map and Reclaim Your Fitness Freedom.

+ Cardio sessions

Up to 20 - 45 minutes of what you want to do – walking, running, bike, swim et cetera.

The Level 1 Cardio sessions are very important to the over-arching theme of PrimalThenics to improve your health and fitness and mobility. See the members areas for the specifics on Heart Rate goals.

+ Challenge yourself more

If you wish to further challenge yourself physically then you can add in a Level 2 cardio session or a weights session. For these sessions, as for all, it is imperative that a modified (up to 10 minutes) or full Prepare section (up to 20 minutes) takes place. Imperative!

A weights session is added every month to the members area, as to some High Intensity running and cardio sessions.

"Chris got me to change my mindset, diet and training program and after a couple of treatments and a few weeks of PrimalThenics there was a huge improvement."

+ Full testimonial

"I met Chris 2 months prior to running the 100km Ultra Trail Australia when I was in a real ‘running trough’. I was struggling to run 10kms and lower back pain was making it difficult to walk.

Chris got me to change my mindset, diet and training program and after a couple of treatments and a few weeks of PrimalThenics there was a huge improvement. Over the very short time frame I went into the run feeling fantastic both physically and mentally and ultimately finishing in a time I was incredibly happy with.

Chris is a great coach who ultimately wants to set you up to be self-sufficient and his online coaching is a great way of helping you reach your goals with flexibility. His PT classes are a tough, but fun, way to increase your strength and conditioning and it doesn’t take long before you really notice the difference. I thoroughly recommend joining the Health and Fitness Guy and I am looking forward to more ultras with Chris coaching me."

I really have no words which can describe the pain I was in during the weekend, it was horrendous to say the least.

I am 100% certain I could not have attempted let alone finished this race if I never called on your (Chris's) advice and foresight.

+ Full Testimonal

The training program you set out for me and hints were monumental. I firmly believe that the unique training and the way you approached things were key to me being able to finish. Mobility was a very important tool as well which I concentrated on more than stretching as I just felt I got more out of mobility and the trigger ball work.

Well it has been a busy week. I completed the half marathon, the first half I had ever done which was good and I was happy how it went. So, the following weekend I went on a 250km run in 2.5 days.

I really have no words which can describe the pain I was in during the weekend, it was horrendous to say the least.

I am 100% certain I could not have attempted let alone finished this race if I never called on your advice and foresight.

I would carry out mobility stretches before training and it made such a difference after a long day at work, to then do them and feel good enough to train well. Anyway, mate enough of my boring spiel I survived to tell the tale, very much accredited to yourself and your views which I have greatly adopted and appreciated using and will continue to evolve with as I tackle more things I enjoy.
